Vital Karate (subtitled The Kyokushin Way or simply Mas Oyama’s Complete Karate ) is one of the most famous books written by Masutatsu Oyama (1923–1994), the founder of Kyokushin Karate . First published in 1967 (Japan) and later in English, it serves as both a philosophical manifesto and a technical manual.
