The music industry relies heavily on software plugins, such as virtual studio technology (VST) plugins, to produce high-quality music. However, software piracy remains a significant challenge, threatening the livelihoods of developers and the industry as a whole. This paper explores the issue of software piracy in the music industry, focusing on the case of Radiator VST. We discuss the economic and creative impacts of piracy, examine current anti-piracy measures, and propose potential solutions to mitigate this problem.
