The bouquet of sunflowers went flying out of his hands, and in a desperate attempt to catch them, Kaito accidentally knocked over a nearby sculpture that was meant for the town's annual art exhibition. It wasn't until Akira and Emiko had a heart-to-heart conversation, clarifying the situation, that the truth came to light. Emiko reassured Akira of her feelings, and he realized his mistake in assuming the worst about Kaito and Emiko.
Kaito, wanting to do something thoughtful, decided to pick up a bouquet of Emiko's favorite flowers (sunflowers) and surprise her as she left work. However, his clumsiness had other plans.
