Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Gunday is a quintessential Bollywood masala film. It doesn’t try to be a realistic art piece; instead, it aims to be a two-and-a-half-hour adrenaline rush. And for the most part, it succeeds spectacularly. The story begins in the turbulent 1970s during the Bangladesh Liberation War.
